The hanging body of Akbar Shah Thana Chhatra League Liberation War Affairs Secretary Kawshar Ahmed was recovered from the railing of a flyover in Chittagong city. On Tuesday (May 12) around 9:00 p.m., locals saw the body and informed the police. The police reached the spot and recovered the body and sent it to Chittagong Medical College (CHMEC) Hospital morgue for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, the mystery surrounding Kawchar’s death is gathering. Claiming it as a ‘planned murder’, the central and local Chhatra League has moved to demand justice.
Chatra League activists claim that it cannot be suicide in any way. The way the bodies were found on the railings of the flyover is part of a deep conspiracy or ‘blue design’. They alleged that the anti-independence forces killed and hanged Kawchar out of political revenge.
The top leaders of the organization have strongly condemned and demanded justice for this incident. Dhaka University Chhatra League President Mazharul Islam Shayan called the death a murder and demanded the quick arrest of the culprits.
Central Chhatra League vice-president Tahsan Ahmed Russell has demanded fair investigation and trial of this incident through social media.
According to local sources, panic spread in the area after seeing the dead body hanging from the flyover in the dark of night. Akbar Shah Thana police quickly reached the spot after receiving the information. According to the police, the body was sent to the morgue after the preliminary examination. It can be confirmed only after receiving the post-mortem report that it was murder or suicide.The mysterious death of the Chhatra League leader is causing intense anger among the Trinamool leaders and activists of Chittagong. The activists gave an ultimatum to immediately form an inquiry committee and identify the real culprits. Otherwise, they have warned of a major movement.
