Prime Minister Tariq Rahman is visiting Chandpur today on Saturday. He left his residence by road at 8:30 in the morning.
During this visit, he will inaugurate and inspect various developmental activities of the district.
BNP media cell informed this information.
The Prime Minister will address a road meeting at Lakshmipur Bazar ground of Comilla’s Barura upazila at 11:30 am. Apart from this, at 12.30 pm, re-excavation of ‘Khordd Canal’ in Uaruk Bazar area of Tamta South Union of Shahrasti Upazila of Chandpur and at 1.45 pm the re-excavation of ‘Bishwa Canal’ adjacent to Ghosh’s Hat in Kumardugi village of Shah Mahmudpur Union of Sadar Upazila will be inaugurated.
Then he will attend Zuhr prayer and lunch at Circuit House.
Prime Minister will attend public meeting at Chandpur Government College ground at 3 pm. Family cards will also be distributed there. Later, he will participate in the organizational exchange meeting of the local BNP at Chandpur Club at 5 pm.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to leave for Dhaka by road at 6:30 pm.
This is Tariq Rahman’s first visit to Chandpur as Prime Minister. Before this, he last visited Chandpur in 2004 as Senior Joint General Secretary of BNP.
Meanwhile, there is a mood of celebration among the local leaders and activists around the arrival of Tariq Rahman in Chandpur after 22 years. Around this visit of his party leaders and workers as well as common people have seen great enthusiasm.
Senior officials of the administration have already visited the various program sites.
