Popular musician Nazmun Munira Nancy posted a Facebook post thanking BNP for nominating selfless and qualified women with political knowledge instead of star candidates. When the social media went viral in response to a bunch of stars who were deprived of nominations, the artist made such a counter comment. He himself has been working as an active BNP supporter for a long time.
Congratulations to the Bangladesh Nationalist Party for valuing self-sacrificing, competent, politically knowledgeable women without making showpieces of singers, heroines, actresses, models–” Nancy wrote, giving her party a ‘red salute’.
Stars who didn’t get nominated from the discussion are – Kanakchampa, Bebi Nazneen, Rizia Parveen, Meghna Alam and Rukaiya Jahan Chamak. However, even if they don’t get the nomination, everyone said that they will work for the country.
