He said these things at a discussion meeting organized on the occasion of the founding anniversary of the Nationalist Pharmacy Association at the National Press Club on Thursday (21 May).
Dudu said, “They (Jamaat-e-Islami) could never take a right decision. The people of the country know very well who was in favor of the liberation war in 1971 and who was in favor of Pakistan. The fact that I am criticizing them will be in the news. Then their bot army will rescue me.”
He said, “They (Jamaat-e-Islami) have done all the misdeeds of the Chhatra League secretly. Now the Chhatra League is doing misdeeds secretly among them.” Dudu said, “In the past, institutions of higher education were under the control of a certain group. Now when there is an attempt to give responsibility to real academics, one side is trying to create instability.”
The blame for the failure of the Awami League and the interim government on measles vaccination is now being placed on the BNP government, he said, “The interim government was warned in writing about the outbreak of measles five-six times. But they failed. Diseases like measles which we eradicated have also come back in the country due to the failure of the previous government. However, the current government is now looking at the matter on an urgent basis.”
Referring to BNP’s long agitation, this party leader said, “BNP has fought against dictatorship for 18 years. There is no party leader who has not been prosecuted, jailed or tortured. Even party chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia was kept in jail for six years on false charges.”
