A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Tariq Rahman on decongesting Dhaka city and modernizing traffic management. The meeting was held on Thursday (May 14) evening in the Public Administration meeting room of the Cabinet Division of the Bangladesh Secretariat.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Road Transport and Bridges, Railways and Shipping Sheikh Rabiul Alam, Minister of State for Railways Habibur Rashid, Administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation Abdus Salam, Administrator of Dhaka North City Corporation Shafiqul Islam Khan Milton and Member of Parliament Advocate Shamchur Rahman Shimul Biswas.
This is the second meeting on traffic congestion and traffic management in Dhaka chaired by the Prime Minister.
