Bapparaj is running for the post of president and Mukti for the post of general secretary in the upcoming Bangladesh Film Artists Association elections. They have already confirmed the formation of this joint panel.
Bapparaj said, “We have decided to work together to protect the rights and welfare of artists. Real change for artists is possible if everyone is on our side.”
On the other hand, Mukti said, “Rights of artists, respect and development of films – we have united with this goal. We want to work with everyone, young and old.”
Late Nayakraj Razzak was the founding president of Shilpi Samiti and actress Anwara Begum was in the committee in the past. In that continuity, this panel is preparing to come under new leadership.The term of the current Executive Committee expired on 24 April. It is said that new elections will be organized within the stipulated time.
