Finally the speculations are over. Subhendu is the Chief Minister of West Bengal. His name was announced after Amit Shah’s meeting with the winning candidates of BJP.
On Friday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah finalized the name of Shuvendu Adhikari as the parliamentary party leader of the West Bengal Assembly in a meeting with the 207 winning candidates of the BJP.
Saturday will be the swearing-in ceremony of the new government at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata.
Amit Shah came to the state as the central observer of the BJP after the elections and held a meeting with the legislators. The name of Subhendu Adhikari was unanimously decided as the leader of the council. Later BJP leadership announced his name.
Then Shuvendu will ask the governor to form the government.
Shubendu’s name was already discussed as the chief minister. Because he defeated two successive Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in elections.
In 2021, he defeated Mamata in Nandigram by 1956 votes.
This time in Bhavanipur he defeated Mamata by more than 15 thousand votes and won in Nandigram by almost 10 thousand votes. Due to this series of victories, many of the BJP think that Subhendu Adhikari is the most qualified candidate to become the Chief Minister.
