Ahmad Abdul Quader said that the Indian Border Guard Force (BSF) is repeatedly violating international law and human rights by shooting and killing Bangladeshi citizens at the border. India must immediately stop border killings and pay compensation for all killings.
Even though border killings have stopped for a long time, India is trying to scare Bangladesh by starting it again.
He said these things while addressing the chief guest at the post-protest rally organized by Khilafat Majlis at the north gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital on Friday (May 15) Bad Juma.
Dr. Ahmad Abdul Quader said that although border killings have been stopped for a long time, India is trying to scare Bangladesh by starting them again. Unstable situation is being created in the border areas through various illegal activities including pushin, drug smuggling.
He strongly condemned and protested against such behavior of India.
The Secretary General of the Khilafat Majlis said that three Bangladeshi citizens were killed on the border of Brahmanbaria and Lalmonirhat in the last one week, but the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not yet summoned the Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka. He urged the government to take immediate action in this regard.
Dr. Ahmad Abdul Quader said, Israel is constantly creating unstable situation in the Middle East and oppressing innocent people.
He strongly condemned and protested the killing of two expatriate Bangladeshis in Lebanon in a drone attack. At the same time, the expatriates demanded the government’s effective initiative to ensure the safety of Bangladeshis.
Khilafat Majlis Dhaka Metropolitan North President Maulana Saifuddin Ahmad Khandkar presided over and Metropolitan South General Secretary Abul Hossain addressed the post-protest rally and Naib Amir Maulana Ahmad Ali Qasemi, Joint Secretary General Professor Abdul Jalil and others were present.
