A woman named Afroza Akhter held a press conference at the Jessore Press Club, alleging land grabbing, graveyard encroachment, fish theft, assault cases and torture for a long time.
He read the written statement at the press conference organized at Press Club Jessore on Wednesday afternoon.
In a written statement, Afroza Akhtar complained that some family members, led by her nephew central BNP member Mohsin Kabir, have been torturing her and her family in various ways for a long time. Among the accused are his brother Ruhul Amin, Samchuzzaman Khokon, dentist Dr. Nasim Zaman Rifat along with some other family members and employees.
He claimed that the accused were trying to grab his usufructuary land and pond. Also involved in various activities like stealing fish from the pond, encroaching on the graves of mothers and children, intimidation, filing false cases and social humiliation.
In the press conference, he said that on December 28, 2025, when he went to the house of the accused to settle the dispute, he was thrown out with insults. Later fish were stolen from his pond. He also complained that he was harassed by filing a false complaint against him when he protested.
He also said that he did not get proper justice even after complaining to the police station several times. Instead misleading news has been published against him with influence, which has damaged his family socially.
In the press conference, Afroza Akhtar presented various documents including audio-video, general diary (GD), case related papers and pond lease agreement. He urged the journalists to present the real facts before the countrymen. However, the accused did not receive any statement in this regard.
