President Md. Sahabuddin left Dhaka for London for follow-up treatment and health check-up.
The press wing of Banga Bhavan said that the regular commercial flight BG-201 of Bangladesh Airlines carrying the President left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 7:45 am on Saturday (May 9).
Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. Asaduzzaman, Dean of Diplomatic Core Yusuf SY Ramadan, British High Commissioner Sarah Cook and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister and President’s Office saw him off at the airport.
President’s family members, President’s doctor, staff nurses and related officials of Banga Bhavan are accompanying the President on this visit.
Note, in October 2023, President Md. Sahabuddin’s cardiac bypass surgery is done.
The President will undergo the required health check-up at a specialist hospital in the UK as a follow-up on the advice of a doctor.
The president is scheduled to return home on May 18 after the treatment.
