Opposition leader and Amir of Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, due to the syndicate, there has been an artificial increase in the price of goods. Markets are volatile due to middlemen and extortionists.
He said these things in a press briefing after visiting Mirpur Shah Ali wholesale market in the capital on Tuesday (May 12) morning.
Amir of Jamaat said that the government should be proactive in controlling the market. He also said that the opposition party will be vocal in the parliament and outside the parliament to make the market situation bearable for the people.
