Prime Minister Tariq Rahman inaugurated the ‘Bhoomiseba Mela-2026’. The Chief Minister inaugurated the three-day long fair at Bhumi Bhavan in Tejgaon of the capital on Tuesday at 10 am.
The fair will continue till May 21 in every district and upazila of the country.
The main theme of this fair is ‘people-friendly automated land management, safe land and prosperous future’.
The main objective of organizing this fair is to make land services easier, to make common people aware about digital platforms and citizen services and to reach the marginal level of services.
In a press conference held at the secretariat on Monday yesterday, Land Minister Md. Mizanur Rahman Minu said, in the past there was a negative perception among common people about land management.
The people of the village suffered the most due to lawsuits, cronyism, procrastination and corruption. The current government is working to change that situation and ensure transparent, accountable and technology-based services.
He said, ‘We want people to be able to get most of the land services at home. The automation program has been strengthened so that citizens can get services quickly without being harassed by going to the land office.
