He made this comment at a discussion meeting organized by Jasa on the occasion of martyred President Ziaur Rahman’s 45th martyrdom anniversary at the National Press Club on Sunday (May 31) morning.
Rizvi said, the expulsion of Jamaat leader on charges of extortion in Feni proves that there are extortionists in Jamaat. He also alleged that there are secret extortionists in the Jamaat, just as they remain hidden in the BCL.
He said, the people of this country are religious. But they don’t like Jamaat.
While referring to the success of Prime Minister Tariq Rahman, he also commented that ‘the canals are not cut, but the crops and fish have come.’ At that time, this BNP leader called for constructive criticism against the government instead of lying.
