Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman and current Prime Minister Tarek Rahman’s activities in the last few months have brought a huge change in the people of the country, claimed Rabiul Islam Nayan, member secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan South Juba Dal. According to him, Tariq Rahman’s public-oriented politics and administrative oversight are reminiscent of the philanthropic activities of the Caliphs of the early days of Islam.
He made this comment in a video statement given to the media yesterday Sunday (May 31).
In the statement, Rabiul Islam Nayan said, Mr. Tarek Rahman has become the leader of the people in these three to four months. I saw on Facebook yesterday that some online media reported that such statesmen were seen during the time of the Prophet (PBUH) and his followers.
This youth party leader also mentioned that the way the Prime Minister of the country went down the streets for four consecutive hours to directly supervise the removal of Qorbani waste during the holy Eid-ul-Azha, has set a unique example among the common people. He commented that in the early days of Islam, the caliphs or the heads of state used to mingle with the common people in search of the people’s happiness and sorrow, the current prime minister also reflects such people-friendly qualities.
Assessing the prime minister’s 100-day tenure, the member secretary of the Dhaka Metropolitan South Juba Dal claimed that the government’s positive steps have been able to gain the trust of the people within this short period of time.
