Tofail Ahmed’s death is an irreparable loss for the country’s politics: Zapa General Secretary

Jatiya Party (Japa) Secretary General Shamim Haider Patwari has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of Tofail Ahmed, the hero of the 1979 mass uprising, one of the organizers of the great liberation war, former successful minister and member of the advisory council of Awami League. He expressed this deep grief in a condolence message on Monday.

In his condolence message, Jatiya Party Secretary General said, Tofail Ahmed’s death is an irreparable loss for the country’s political arena. He was a bright star of Bangladesh politics. The nation will forever remember his important contribution in the freedom movement of the country, the great liberation war and every democratic struggle of the later period.

Shamim Haider Patwari in his speech praised the long political life of this veteran leader and said that in his long political life, Tofail Ahmed has left a unique signature of his commitment and devotion to the country, the people and the democracy of this country.

He further added, there can be differences of opinion and path in politics; But Tofail Ahmed’s great contribution to the national interest, his political wisdom and unparalleled leadership will be remembered with respect by people of all parties. He was a very experienced Member of Parliament, a skilled organizer and an integral part of our country’s political history.

In the last part of the condolence message, Jatiya Party General Secretary late Tofail Ahmed prayed for forgiveness and eternal peace for the departed soul. He also extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members, relatives, long-time political colleagues, well-wishers and his numerous followers.
