Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan commented that BNP has no experience in administration and running the country. He claimed that the BNP government increased the price of gas by the same amount as during the 17-year regime of Sheikh Hasina.
He said these things while addressing the chief guest at the Eid reunion and joining function organized by the Jatiya Nagrik Party (NCP) at a party center in Comilla district on Saturday (June 6) afternoon.
Asif Mahmud said that people are uncomfortable due to increase in gas, oil and electricity prices in the country. The BNP government has increased the price of gas in just three months by the amount that it had increased in the last 17 years during Sheikh Hasina’s tenure. All in all, BNP has become an unpopular government.
He also said that after the Home Minister took over, he announced the ban on mob culture, but in reality mobs are increasing. The involvement of government party people is seen in various incidents. BNP government has never been good at running the country.
This NCP spokesperson said, those who can give a shadow budget, can also formulate the budget. NCP has that capability. There is no person or group to speak for the common people. NCP is the only opposition party to speak for the people of the country.
He said, we all have to work together to realize the dream of new Bangladesh that we have shown to the people. He also expressed his hope to establish Comilla as a role model district of NCP in Bangladesh in the future.
President of Jatiya Jubo Shakti Tariqul Islam, Central Joint Member Secretary Zainal Abedin Shishir and central and district level leaders were present at the event moderated by Abu Raihan, coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement.
