Oikya NAP has mourned the death of former Prime Minister and Chairperson of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Begum Khaleda Zia.
On Tuesday, acting president of the organization Advocate SMA Sabur and General Secretary Advocate Asadullah Tarek expressed this grief in a joint statement.
Eikya Nap Publicity Secretary Palash Kumar Dey sent this statement to the media.
In the statement, the organization said, we are deeply saddened by the death of Khaleda Zia, the first woman Prime Minister of the country. Deepest condolences to his bereaved family.
Begum Khaleda Zia passed away during treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital at 6 am on Tuesday.
Then his funeral ended at 3.20 pm. After the funeral, her body was taken to Chandrima Udyan in Sherebangla Nagar and buried with state honor next to the grave of her husband late President Ziaur Rahman around 5:30 pm.
